On April 26th, 2012, CAS-JIC Joint Symposium was held in Oriental Riverside Hotel, Shanghai, which was organized by National Center for Gene Research, SIBS, CAS. In this two-day meeting, about 60 internationally renowned experts from JIC, CAS and other research institutes in China in the field of plant developmental biology, genetics, epigenetics, crop science, microbial biology, plant physiology, and plant molecular breeding gave plenary and keynote lectures and symposia as well. The two institutes reached an original agreement for further cooperation. The prospect of scientific cooperation between CAS and JIC is in a vast range, at the same time, this cooperation is of great significance to accelerate the development of plant science.
